Osaka Castle is one of the most famous castles in Japan if not one of the most authentic.
It is a 1931 concrete reconstruction of the original that was built in 1583 for Hideyoshi Toyotomi. It was destroyed when
Tokugawa Ieyasu (the first Shogun of Japan) defeated Hideyoshi only 32 years later. The interior is now a museum of the
period and of the conflict between Tokugawa and Hideyoshi and the observation deck still commands an impressive view of
the city.
