Ochanomizu is an area of Tokyo known as an "artsy" area partly because of the nearby universities. There are a number of interesting temples and shrines in the area; the top two pictures of "Komainu" or the lion-dog protectors of one such temple. The bottom picture is of the Ochanomizu train station. It is built into the side of the river bank. Note that the subway track briefly pops out from underground to cross the river.
