New Kyoto Station is a marvelous feat of architecture to behold. One of the tallest buildings in its area, it is completely open floor to ceiling - an amazing mass of steel, glass, and marble. It opened three week before these pictures were taken, and wasn't fully open yet, but even so it is certainly an imposing structure.
