The Imperial Palace - residence of Japan's reigning royalty - is situated in the heart of Tokyo. Of course, being a private residence, tourists are rarely allowed admittance, but a number of edifices are visible from public areas.

These aren't exactly part of the Imperial Palace, but they're nearby so I put them here.
